Questions parents ask us

Is this suitable for Year 5 children?+

Yes. Most families start in Year 4 or Year 5, ahead of exams typically sat in Year 6. You can set your child's exam year when you register, and practice is self-paced either way.

Which 11+ exams does it cover?+

Our questions are designed around the skills most commonly tested across UK 11+ entrance exams — English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning and (soon) Non-Verbal Reasoning. Exact format and exam boards vary by region and school, so we'd always recommend checking your target school or local authority's own admissions guidance. Our 11+ guide explains the main differences.

Is it suitable for grammar school and independent school entrance exams?+

It's built primarily around the core skills tested for state grammar school entrance. Many independent schools test similar skills, but some use different formats (such as ISEB Common Pre-Tests) — it's worth checking with the specific school.

Does my child need their own device?+

No app install is required — your child can practice straight from a web browser on any phone, tablet or computer by signing in at elevenplusready.uk. A free Android app/Apple App will be available very soon.

Can I have more than one child on my account?+

Each account is currently set up around a single child profile. If you're preparing more than one child, get in touch and we'll help you set up additional accounts.

Can I cancel at any time?+

Yes. Premium is billed monthly with no contract, and you can cancel whenever you like — you'll keep access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for.

What happens after the 14-day trial?+

No card is needed to start, so nothing is charged automatically. After 14 days you simply choose: stay on the free Basic plan, or add payment details to continue on Premium at £3.99/month.

Is Non-Verbal Reasoning included?+

Non-Verbal Reasoning is in active development and will roll out to all accounts — Basic and Premium — as soon as it's ready, at no extra cost.

Does it work on iPhone and iPad?+

Yes, right now, through any mobile browser — just sign in at elevenplusready.uk. A dedicated iOS app is in development; in the meantime our Android app is available on Google Play.

How does the personalised practice actually work?+

Every answer your child gives is recorded. Questions they get wrong are automatically queued back into future sessions, alongside similar questions on the same topic, until they've shown they've mastered it — not just guessed correctly once.
